The museum riddle

As part of the work for the game application TWIDDLE - the museum riddle, Playersjourney was responsible for the idea, concept, and implementation. The requirements were high. According to the client, the game should convey the feeling of a world in motion, with the exhibits at its center, and the game should be playable in all eight research museums, emphasizing that all museums belong together through the course of the game. In a nearly year-long participatory process, this goal was achieved, taking into account the expectations of all eight museums. Depending on which of the eight museums you play TWIDDLE in, you experience completely different adventures. Sometimes you have to help a dinosaur, and at other times, a vehicle is urgently needed for which you must gather the necessary parts. Some special features are worth highlighting: Firstly, TWIDDLE is probably the largest museum game in the world, both in terms of content and the institutions involved. Among the eight museums are, among others, the Deutsches Museum in Munich, the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research, and the Natural History Museum in Berlin.

Furthermore, the game connects the museums distributed across the country and allows players to interact with each other. Last but not least, the game integrates its own research module that records all player decisions and provides them as a dataset for research purposes to the researchers of the Leibniz community.
